MANILA – Four Philippine Air Force (PAF) pilots were killed after two SF-260 aircraft crashed during a training flight in Batangas province, northern Philippines, on Friday, the PAF confirmed on Saturday.

The PAF said the two planes went down near an air base in Lipa City at around 3:51 pm local time on Friday. The PAF has temporarily grounded all its SF-260 aircraft to investigate the cause of the crash.

The SF-260 is a light aircraft the PAF uses for pilot training. On May 20 this year, an SF-260 aircraft crashed in the mountainous province of Benguet in the northern Philippines, killing two pilots.
