
HONG KONG – Hong Kong's home prices rose for the 13th consecutive month in June, notching the highest reading in more than two and a half years, official data showed on Wednesday.
The price index for private domestic homes stood at 323.2 in June, climbing 12.7 percent from a year ago, data from the Rating and Valuation Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government showed.
On a month-on-month basis, the growth pace of the price index slowed to 0.3 percent, the data showed.

In June, the rental index for private domestic homes rose for eight months in a row to 205.8, up 5 percent year-on-year and reaching a new high.
Analysts estimated that Hong Kong's home prices may have peaked for the year and will remain stable in the second half, with annual growth projected at 8 to 10 percent.
