Communist Youth League of China has nearly 78.34m members

The Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China announced on Sunday that the country had about 78.34 million members as of the end of last year, an increase of about 3.02 million from the previous year.

The number of the league's organizations rose by 753,000 to 5.15 million.

The league has 3,000 local committees, 199,000 grassroots committees, 139,000 general branches, and 4.81 million branches.

School-affiliated groups accounted for about 2.36 million of the 5.15 million organizations. Government and public institutions had about 3.8 million members.

State-owned and collective enterprises had about 2.82 million members. Urban subdistricts, townships, communities, and administrative villages accounted for about 23.92 million members. New sectors and other sectors had 5.97 million members.
