Temperatures in Hong Kong are expected to drop to as low as 19 degrees Celsius on Friday due to a cold front moving across the coast of Guangdong, according to the Hong Kong Observatory.
The HKO urged members of the public to take note of the change in the weather, adding that showers will increase gradually with a few squally thunderstorms.
“Under the influence of upper-air disturbances and the northeast monsoon, showers will be heavy at times tomorrow locally, and it will be appreciably cooler with a minimum temperature of about 19 degrees,” the HKO said in advisory around lunchtime on Thursday.
