Two weeks after a historic victory at the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) in Portugal, Chinese motorcycle brand ZXMOTO delivered a dazzling debut at the 139th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair).

The brand immediately drew attention from international buyers and motorcycle enthusiasts, with visitors crowding its booth, which highlighted its championship-winning 820RR model alongside popular releases such as the 500RR.

Ignacio Alvarez, a procurement agent from Uruguay, told Guangzhou Daily that his company placed orders with ZXMOTO last year and was impressed by the brand’s quality after seeing it at EICMA — an annual top trade fair for the two-wheeler sector held in Milan, Italy.

Brazilian buyer Guilherme Sousa also expressed strong interest in ZXMOTO motorcycles, saying he plans to introduce the brand to Brazil.

ZXMOTO has sparked a wave of excitement on social media after securing a historic double victory at WSBK, one of the world’s leading production-based motorcycle racing series that has long been dominated by established European and Japanese brands such as Ducati and Yamaha.

The racing breakthrough is already translating into commercial momentum. Huang Qin, who heads ZXMOTO’s foreign trade department, said domestic orders surged by more than 20,000 units following its WSBK championship. Overseas order responses have been slower, largely due to lengthy international certification processes.

That challenge is precisely why the Canton Fair matters. The company aims to use the event to strengthen its brand image, expand its overseas client network, and achieve its overseas sales target of 5,000 units this year, said Huang.

A key part of ZXMOTO’s appeal is its value proposition. Huang Qin told ThePaper, a Shanghai-based media platform, that ZXMOTO motorcycles meet the same quality standards as Japanese, European, and American manufacturers, but are typically priced 20–30 percent lower.

He also said the first batch of ZXMOTO motorcycles bound for Europe will be shipped in June and reach local consumers about two months later.
