PYONGYANG - Kim Jong-un, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), on Sunday observed the test-firing of ship-based missiles from Destroyer Choe Hyon, the official Korean Central News Agency reported Tuesday.

Two strategic cruise missiles and three anti-warship missiles were test-fired from Destroyer Choe Hyon, in a latest move to test the operational efficiency of the country's new-type warship, said the report.

Destroyer Choe Hyon is the lead ship of the DPRK's 5,000-ton new-generation multi-mission Choe Hyon-class attack destroyers.
