Sohu News marathon begins with star-studded ‘crossover running team’

The 18th season of the Sohu News Marathon was held in Hong Kong on Thursday.

Starting at 9:30 am, the marathon – jointly organized by Sohu.com and Bauhinia Magazine – started from HarbourChill in Wanchai, passing through Western and the Peak Galleria before reaching the final destinations at Repulse Bay.

Participants were offered to choose from various distances including 2km, 5km, 10km, and 21km courses.

This season's event features a star-studded “cross-over running team” comprising celebrities and influencers across China.

Led by Zhang Chaoyang, founder, chairman of the board and chief executive officer (CEO) of Sohu, the team includes Hong Kong artists Charlene Choi (Ah Sa), Bosco Wong, Sheren Tang, Mani Fok and Ray Lui. They were joined by mainland Chinese actor Guan Ling, He Landou, Dai Yanni, and Zeng Koni, as well as crosstalk actor Yang Jiulang, rapper Wang Yitai, and host Zhu Zitong.

Since its inception in 2015, the marathon pursued "running the most beautiful routes in the world," taking participants to scenic spots across China and abroad.
