HONG KONG – Art Basel Hong Kong is returning on March 27, presenting an expanded program connecting regional artistic practices with international audiences.
The three-day event will feature 240 galleries from 41 countries and territories. Apart from the exhibition halls of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the event will also be held at multiple sites across the city.
Highlights include Encounters, the art show’s signature sector dedicated to large-scale sculpture, installation, and performance.
Curated by an international team led by Mami Kataoka alongside Isabella Tam, Alia Swastika, and Hirokazu Tokuyama, the program will also extend offsite to the Pacific Place in Hong Kong’s Admiralty, featuring a site-specific digital animation installation by Christine Sun Kim.
Macao International Parade
The Macao International Parade 2026 will take place on March 29.
Themed “The Maritime Silk Road as a bridge for cultural exchange”, the parade is expected to gather nearly 1,600 artists from over 10 overseas troupes from countries and regions involved in the Maritime Silk Road initiatives across Asia, Europe and Africa, alongside 50 local groups.
The procession will set off from the Ruins of St. Paul’s at 3 pm on March 29, and pass through the old streets and alleys of the Historic Centre of Macao where the artists will engage with residents and tourists.
The finale performance, “Departure to the Sea”, will begin at 6:30 pm at the Sai Van Lake Square, where art groups, including 15 local ones, will stage a vibrant and artistic celebration.
As a signature festive event of Macao – now in its 12th edition – the parade has been drawing participation of global residents and tourists alike.
