Hong Kong athletes Huang Shangyi, Chen Cuiyan, and Chen Baoling participated in equestrian competitions at the 15th National Games on Monday in Shenzhen.

The events run through Nov 19 at the Shenzhen Guangming International Equestrian Center, a facility spanning approximately 50,000 square meters, designed to host international-level competitions in dressage, eventing, and show jumping, according to Xinhua News Agency.

Wen Chaoying, chief liaison officer of the equestrian competition committee, highlighted the extensive preparations undertaken in the Guangming district of Shenzhen. Over 10 specialized training sessions, more than 30 tabletop simulations, and three comprehensive joint testing sessions were conducted to refine the competition process and ensure smooth operations.

Following the event, athlete Huang Shangyi expressed his excitement about representing Hong Kong and praised the venue as top-notch. He commended the clean and tidy stables, the well-designed warm-up area, and the excellent quality of the sand, describing the overall experience as impeccable.
