HONG KONG - Trams decorated with messages for the 2025 Legislative Council General Election travelled through Hong Kong on Monday as part of a public awareness campaign to encourage voter participation. 

The eighth-term LegCo General election, which will return 90 lawmakers — 20 from the geographical constituencies, 30 from the functional constituencies, and 40 from the Election Committee constituency — is set to take place on December 7. 

Starting from October 24, the nomination period for the event will run until November 6.
