HONG KONG – Four giant inflated versions of popular characters Labubu, Elmo, Grimace and Doraemon on Saturday transformed Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour into a dreamlike stage of art and entertainment, offering photo opportunities for residents and tourists.

Hong Kong artist Lung Ka-sing’s elfin Labubu, a crossover between American artist Kaws and Sesame Street’s Elmo, Grimace, and the Japanese manga character Doraemon, will be displayed in the waters off Tamar Park near the government headquarters in Admiralty for a whole week.

The highlight of the exhibition, the "Water Parade", will take place next Saturday, when the four beloved IPs will form a "dream fleet" and cruise across Victoria Harbour, sailing between Kowloon and Hong Kong Island.

A "Water Parade Market", featuring themed activities and exclusive merchandise, is also being held along the Central and Western District Promenade throughout the exhibition period.

China Daily's Edmond Tang took the photos on Saturday.
