HONG KONG - Residents in Kwun Tong gathered on Wednesday at APM mall to watch a live broadcast of the military parade marking the 80th anniversary of victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45) and the World Anti-Fascist War.

The national ceremony, aired across the country, commemorated the war fought from 1937 to 1945 and its role in the global campaign against fascism.

Schools, cultural institutions, and community groups in Hong Kong, are also holding educational programs and exhibitions to mark the anniversary.
