Hong Kong tennis player Coleman Wong Chak-lam continued his historic run at the US Open on Thursday, defeating Australia's Adam Walton with a score of 3-1 in four sets at the Billie Jean King Tennis Center.

The victory makes the world number 173-ranked qualifier the first man from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to reach the tournament's third round in the Open era, which began in 1968.

Up next for Wong is another challenge as he prepares to square off against Andrey Rublev, in his upcoming US Open journey.
