Chinese shares higher at midday Friday

BEIJING - Chinese stocks were higher in the morning session on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.67 percent to 3,796.36 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index went up 1.32 percent to 12,076.85 points at midday.
