The first tranche of tickets for the upcoming triple games events in November will go on sale on Aug 28, organizers announced on Wednesday, including those of four events set to be hosted in Hong Kong.

The sporting spectacular embraces the 15th National Games, and the combined 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games.

Hong Kong residents can now log on the official ticket-purchasing website and WeChat mini program, completing registration with their Hong Kong IDs or Mainland Travel Permits for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, before the sale begins.

Tickets will also be available at 11 China Travel Service branches across Hong Kong.

Jointly hosted by Hong Kong, Macao and Guangdong province, the 15th National Games will run from Nov 9 to Nov 21, and the combined 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games will take place between Dec 8 and Dec 15.

This edition of National Games features 34 competition events and 23 mass participation events, and the combined Para and Special Games will have 46 events to be contested.

The initial stage of ticket sales includes 17 National Games events — 13 in Guangdong and four in Hong Kong — as well as Para Games’ taekwondo event in Huizhou city, according to a news conference on Wednesday morning.

The four Hong Kong-based events joining the first-batch ticket sale are beach volleyball, men's handball, men’s U22 basketball, and rugby sevens, with prices ranging from HK$55 ($7) to HK$549.

Tickets for other Hong Kong-based events —cycling, golf, trilithon and fencing, as well as the three Para Games events of boccia, wheelchair fencing and table tennis (TT11 class) — will be released in late September and early October, aligning with competition schedules.

Altogether, the city will respectively release 400,000 and 35,000 tickets for the National Games and the Para Games.

Outdoor events in Hong Kong — such as golf, triathlon, and beach volleyball — will feature flat-rate tickets ranging from HK$55 to HK$219, while venue-based events — including handball, basketball, rugby sevens, track cycling, and fencing — offer tiered seating from HK$55 to HK$549.

Tickets for all Para Games events staged in Hong Kong are priced at HK$22.

The organizers said sales for some of the most popular events — like table tennis, badminton, diving, and tennis — will follow later.

Rosanna Law Shuk-pui, secretary for culture, sports and tourism, described the pricing as “highly affordable,” adding a recommendation to register in the two weeks before sales launch.

Tickets for Hong Kong events will be sold in the form of “half-day” or “full-day” passes, which grants entry to multiple matches held in the venue, with a six-ticket limit per transaction.

Free tickets for the National Games’ mass-participation bowling finals starting from Aug 22 in Hong Kong will be available via registration from Aug 14, with 120 tickets allocated daily. Ticketing for the Para Games’ wheelchair dance and Special Olympics table tennis will be announced later.
