HONG KONG – The Food Expo PRO, set to begin at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on Aug 14, will provide an all-in-one business platform for importers, retailers, e-commerce operators, and other industry insiders to explore business opportunities and build connections.
Besides delegations from the Chinese mainland, Japan, South Korea, and Poland, the three-day event will attract those from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, such as Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam, making it an international gourmet event. Around 2,000 exhibitors are expected to participate.
A new coffee zone will be introduced at this year’s expo, bringing together coffee bean exporters from the mainland, Africa, and the Americas to display various coffee-related products.
The fair will adopt the hybrid model EXHIBITION+, enabling exhibitors and buyers worldwide to stay connected online through its Click2Match intelligent business matching platform and the Scan2Match function.
Cross-border e-commerce fair
The 2025 China (Guangzhou) Cross-border E-commerce Fair will open its doors on Aug 15, with the aim of linking Chinese manufacturing with the strong demand of global buyers.
Over three days, the event will gather more than 1,000 high-quality supply chain enterprises, over 40 domestic and foreign cross-border e-commerce platforms, and nearly 200 service providers.
With the number of booths exceeding 1,800, the fair will feature three themed zones for the first time, one of which will highlight how artificial intelligence is driving innovation in customer service, logistics improvement, and supply chain management.
E-commerce platforms from emerging markets, including Mercado Libre from Latin America, Jumia from Africa, and those from Southeast Asia, will participate. This will provide diverse channels for Chinese products to reach consumers in global potential markets efficiently.
Boosting global cultural exchange
The 2025 Southern China Book Fair will be held from Aug 15 to 19 at the China Import and Export Complex in Guangzhou to showcase global diverse cultures and build a knowledge-sharing ecosystem.
This year's edition features specialized zones such as Vietnam (guest of honor), Southeast Asia and Central Asia, Arab and European pavilions, and dedicated areas for international brands and art.
The festival also gathers literary luminaries such as Chinese novelists Liang Xiaosheng, Kang Zhen, and Ma Boyong, alongside global voices like English novel Flipped author Wendelin Van Draanen, fostering cross-cultural dialogue.
With 500 innovative satellite venues across libraries, bookstores, and cultural hubs in Guangdong province, it also advocates new models for public reading while serving as a vital bridge for Chinese culture to go global and for world civilizations to connect.
