China is willing to work with Japan to continue dialogue and communication at all levels and in all fields to build a constructive and stable relationship that meets the requirements of the new era, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said on Monday.
He made the remarks when asked to comment on the Japanese election of the House of Councillors.

"China has taken note of the outcome of the election, which is Japan's internal affair, and has no particular comment," Guo told a daily news briefing.

As close neighbors, Guo said that it is in the fundamental interests of both countries and peoples to maintain the sound and stable development of China-Japan relations.
China is willing to work with Japan to enhance political mutual trust, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and properly manage differences to comprehensively advance the relationship of strategic mutual benefit, he added.
