MANILA - The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said on Tuesday that it has approved an aid package of $100 million from the Asian Development Fund to deliver integrated humanitarian assistance to Myanmar.

The package follows an emergency relief grant of $3 million provided after a deadly earthquake that struck Myanmar on March 28.

Before the earthquake in March, the United Nations' 2025 Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan for Myanmar estimated that 4.3 million people urgently needed aid and social protection. The earthquake drove that figure up to 6.3 million, the Manila-based bank said.
