5.9-magnitude quake hits Afghanistan-Tajikistan Border Region, GFZ says

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 jolted Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region on Saturday morning, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported.

The epicenter, with a depth of 85.5 km, was initially determined to be at 36.13 degrees north latitude and 71.38 degrees east longitude, it added.
