BEIJING - Chinese Foreign Ministry issued a decision on taking countermeasures against seven US military companies and relevant senior executives on Friday.

The seven companies are Insitu, Inc, Hudson Technologies Co, Saronic Technologies, Inc, Raytheon Canada, Raytheon Australia, Aerkomm Inc and Oceaneering International, Inc.

The Chinese move came after the United States recently announced another substantial military assistance package and arms sale to China's Taiwan region and its National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2025 that includes multiple negative sections on China, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a regular news briefing.

These actions seriously violate the one-China principle and the three China-US joint communiques, interfere in China's internal affairs, and undermine China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, she said.

"China will continue to take all necessary measures to firmly defend its sovereignty, security, and development interests," She said.

"Taiwan independence" is a dead end, and the US insistence on using military force to support the "Taiwan independence" will only backfire, Mao said.

She also noted that the negative China-related content of the NDAA is full of Cold War mentality and ideological bias, which provides excuses for the US to increase military spending and maintain its hegemony.

China urges the US side to abide by the one-China principle and the three China-US joint communiques, especially the August 17 Communique of 1982, Mao said.

She added that the US side should immediately stop arming Taiwan in any way, view China's development and China-US relations in an objective and rational way, refrain from implementing the negative China-related content of the NDAA, and cease words and deeds that harm China's interests.
