More than 1,500 people ran through the spectacular historic paths in Bagan, Myanmar, during the “6th Bagan Race 2024 - Run with History” event, celebrating the city's rich cultural legacy.

Organized by RVIPS, with China Daily as a supporting media partner, the race attracted participants from 10 countries including Singapore, China, India, Britain, and the United States.

Following races held earlier this year in Luang Prabang in Laos, and the Ayutthaya Kingdom in Thailand, the Bagan event is also part of a wider initiative to highlight lesser-known world heritage sites and to promote cultural preservation.

The event donated 9 million Myanmar kyat in cash, as well as solar panels, instant noodles, and hydration drinks to local charity organizations including Shwe Gu Orphan Charity Preschool, Ananda Temple, and Shwe U Mhin Monastic Education School.
