BEIJING - China forward Zhang Yuning said he was confident of his recovery from an ankle injury ahead of China's next FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Zhang, who twisted his right ankle in China's 1-0 win over Bahrain on Nov 14, has planned to seek treatment at a rehabilitation center in Amsterdam, Holland.

"We will go to a professional rehabilitation center in Amsterdam, Holland in a few days, where Zhang Yuning can receive comprehensive treatment and have a full recovery," his father Zhang Quancheng said.

Zhang Yuning, who scored the winner in China's win over Bahrain, said he had to recover in time for China's next match -- the World Cup qualifier against Saudi Arabia on March 20.

"I yearn to play for the national team, and I'm sure I will be available then," he said.
