HANGZHOU - Chinese Vice-Premier Ding Xuexiang on Tuesday met Vice-President of Honduras Renato Florentino in East China's Zhejiang province.

Ding, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, noted that the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries serves the fundamental interests of the two nations and peoples. He said China stands ready to work with Honduras to provide firm mutual support on issues concerning each other's core interests and major concerns, in accordance with the strategic guidance of the two heads of state.

China is willing to strengthen the synergy between the two countries' development strategies, deepen practical cooperation in various fields, and lead China-Honduras relations into a better future, he said.

Florentino, who is in China to attend the 2024 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, said that the establishment of diplomatic ties is of historic significance, noting that Honduras abides by the one-China principle and is willing to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation with China to push for the steady, long-term development of bilateral relations.

Ding meets Zambian vice-president

Ding met on Tuesday with Vice-President of Zambia Mutale Nalumango in Zhejiang province.

Ding said that China and Zambia are comprehensive strategic cooperative partners with traditional friendship, adding that the two sides have set a good example of China-Africa cooperation and solid coordination among Global South countries.

China is willing to work with Zambia to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, deepen cooperation on infrastructure, agriculture, minerals and other fields, to advance China-Zambia relations to a higher level.

Mutale Nalumango, who is here for the 2024 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, said that the friendship between Zambia and China has endured over time and has gained renewed vigor. Zambia appreciates China's valuable support for Zambia's development and is willing to comprehensively deepen cooperation with China and promote better development of Zambia-China and Africa-China relations.

Ding meets Vietnamese deputy prime minister

Ding on Tuesday met with Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam Le Thanh Long in Zhejiang province.

Ding said that China and Vietnam are friendly neighbors that will celebrate the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic ties next year.

Ding said that China is ready to work with Vietnam to implement the important consensus reached between the top leaders of the two parties and countries, consolidate political mutual trust, strengthen cooperation in various fields, comprehensively advance the construction of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future, and bring more tangible benefits to the two peoples.

Le Thanh Long, who is in China to attend the 2024 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, congratulated China on its great achievements in reform and opening-up. He said that Vietnam is willing to maintain close, high-level exchange with China, strengthen practical cooperation, and work together to push bilateral relations to a higher level.

The 2024 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit is scheduled to be held from Nov 19 to 22 in the water-town of Wuzhen, located in East China's Zhejiang province.
