Ocean Park Hong Kong is launching a series of activities on Nov 23 to celebrate the 100th day since the birth of the city's first-ever panda twin cubs.

Echoing the Chinese tradition of holding a banquet to celebrate newborns passing their 100th day in good health, the park will reopen the Giant Panda Adventure, which is currently under renovation.

Though the cubs – born to mom Ying Ying on Aug 15 – will not meet the public until February, visitors can see their dad Le Le and the park's pair of adorable red pandas.

Visitors can also watch the twin cubs sleep, play and explore through a real-time, high-definition panda livestream projected on a giant LED screen at Whiskers Theatre. The 30-minute livestream sessions will run from 12 noon and 2 pm daily, with replays at 4 pm and 6 pm for those unable to grab a seat.

Like guests at a 100th day banquet, lucky visitors may receive traditional gifts — red eggs and pork knuckles with ginger – which will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis at the main entrance and the waterfront Eco Trail on Nov 23-24.

Other special activities include a photo exhibition recording the cubs' growth, panda-themed DIY workshops, performances, and multimedia shows.

The most interesting merchandise item would be the "Ying Ying's Doll" – a replica of the soft toy that caregivers give Ying Ying to keep the mom familiar with the cub’s scent.
