An exhibition showcasing paper heads for lion dance will open on Friday at a shopping center in Hong Kong's Admiralty, allowing visitors to delve into traditional Chinese culture and the artistry behind the exquisite creations.

A highlight of the exhibition is a lion head made by local craftsman Ha Chung-kin. Created ahead of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, it depicts a series of significant historic events leading up to 1949, the year of the nation’s founding.

Titled "Inheritance of Fine Traditional Chinese Culture: Lion Head Paper Crafting Exhibition", the exhibition runs through Oct 13. Crafting workshops will be hosted every weekend and on public holidays during the event.
