JAKARTA — Indonesia's national police counterterrorism squad Densus 88 has arrested two individuals on suspicion of terrorism activities, according to the squad spokesperson Aswin Siregar on Wednesday.
The suspects, who allegedly have ties to the Islamic State (IS) group, were apprehended in the western part of the capital Jakarta on Tuesday.

Siregar said the two suspects actively shared content supporting the IS group on social media and had plans for terrorist acts.
The anti-terror squad also seized an airsoft gun, an IS flag, and explosives, in this case, he added.
