Cambodian PM to pay official visit to Singapore this week

PHNOM PENH - Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet will pay an official visit to Singapore from June 18 to 19 at the invitation of his Singaporean counterpart Lawrence Wong, said a Cambodian Foreign Ministry's statement on Monday.

During the visit, Hun Manet will hold bilateral talks with Wong to exchange views on ways to deepen bilateral relations and expand multifaceted cooperation, the statement said.

"The two sides are expected to touch on regional and international issues of common interest and concern," the statement said. "The meeting will be followed by the signing of several cooperation documents and the official launch of the Financial Transparency Corridor Project."

The Cambodian prime minister will have separate courtesy calls with Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong, it added.

Also, he will attend and deliver a keynote address at the Cambodia-Singapore Business Forum, the statement said.
