Four people were killed and one injured when a building collapsed in Tongling of East China's Anhui province early Tuesday morning, according to the local government.
Part of a residential building caved in at about 1:40 pm on Monday afternoon in Datong township of the city's Jiaoqu district, and left five people missing.
Among them, a 12-year-old girl was alive and was rushed to hospital for treatment, said the district government in a statement on Tuesday morning.
All the missing people were found by around 1:28 am Tuesday when the search and rescue operation ended.

"The building, built in around 2001, was five-story tall and had 10 apartments, and half of them collapsed," said Liu Wu, head of the city's emergency management bureau.

Investigation into the incident was underway, said the city government.
