Mitch Evans of Jaguar TCS Racing secured a sensational victory at the inaugural Shanghai E-Prix, leading his team to a double podium finish on May 25, the first day of the double-header weekend.

Evans' triumph marked his 12th career win in Formula E and positioned him as the championship's first victor in Shanghai, amidst a race filled with intense battles and strategic energy management.

The electrifying showdown saw Evans engage in a fierce duel with Pascal Wehrlein of TAG Heuer Porsche, with both drivers showcasing exceptional skill and precision in navigating the energy-intensive race.

Reflecting on his victory, Evans expressed his elation, stating, "I had the energy advantage, so I just wanted to bide my time and let the race come to me." His strategic prowess was evident as he executed a brilliant move on the final lap, overtaking Wehrlein around Turn 1 to clinch the win, much to the delight of fans and teammates alike.

The Shanghai E-Prix not only marked a thrilling return of Formula E to China after a four-season hiatus but also set the stage for Rounds 11 and 12 of Season 10 at the iconic Shanghai International Circuit on May 25 and 26.
