Hang Seng Index closes 1.7% lower

HONG KONG - Hong Kong's stock market ended lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index down 1.7 percent to close at 18,868.71 points.

The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index lost 1.7 percent to end at 6,701.78 points, and the Hang Seng Tech Index plunged 2.41 percent to close at 3,896.19 points.
