China's Communist Youth League has around 74.17m members

The Communist Youth League of China had about 74.17 million members from nearly 4.32 million CYLC organizations by the end of last year, according to data released by the Central Committee of the CYLC on Friday.

About 4.61 million new members joined the league in 2023, it said. As per the Constitution of the Central Committee of the CYLC, people aged 14 to 28 are eligible to join the league.

Data show that 38.25 million members are students, 7.21 million are company employees and 4.42 million are associated with government bodies.

The remaining are linked to grassroots organizations and other social groups.
