Chinese shares open lower Tuesday

BEIJING - Chinese stocks opened lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.45 percent to open at 3,043.55 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.61 percent lower at 9,312.49 points.
