Tunisia retrieves 2 migrant bodies, arrests group of smugglers

TUNIS - Tunisian National Guard units retrieved two bodies of migrants and arrested a group of smugglers, organizers of illegal crossings and several undocumented migrants, Tunis Afrique Press reported Sunday evening.

A vehicle and 12 boats used for illegal migration operations were also seized, Tunis Afrique Press reported, citing a press release issued by the Tunisian National Guard on Sunday.

Meanwhile, a National Guard patrol in Mhamdia seized a car whose owner was planning to transport eight people from sub-Saharan countries to Tunis.
