The Hong Kong Rugby Sevens 2024 reaches its climax on Sunday at the Hong Kong Stadium, with captivated fans still revved up with boundless enthusiasm. The semifinal matchups were confirmed on Saturday, featuring a highly anticipated clash between defending champion New Zealand and Australia. New Zealand's women's team will also be competing against Australia in an upcoming match.

Hong Kong Rugby Sevens marked its 30th anniversary with 24 teams equally splitting between men's and women's areas. Twelve teams each were drawn into three pools, the top two of each pool and two best third-place finishers earn the quarterfinal spots.
