HONG KONG - Around 2.24 million travelers passed through Hong Kong's sea, land and air control points during the first two days of the four-day Easter holiday, according to the Immigration Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government.
Immigration data showed that 1,165,828 travelers--310,218 arrivals and 795,610 departures--passed through the city’s immigration control points on Good Friday (March 29). Those who left included 700,808 Hong Kong residents.
Lo Wu was the busiest control point, handling 323,506 travelers on Friday and 211,418 passengers yesterday
On Saturday (March 30), arrivals increased to 493,784 while departures decreased to 582,274.

The Lok Ma Chau Spur Line and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Control Point also saw heavy passenger traffic, handling a total of 422,988 and 277,726 passengers, respectively, during the two-day period.
The Immigration Department earlier said that it expected to record 11 million entry and exit trips during the Easter and Ching Ming holidays.
