An exhibition in Hong Kong featuring more than 20 sculptures depicting iconic fictional characters from Jin Yong’s popular novels is set to open to visitors on Saturday, marking the late Chinese literary giant’s birth centenary.

Novelist Jin Yong, also known as Louis Cha Leung-yung, created over 1,400 characters in his martial arts novels that became part of the collective consciousness of Chinese readers all over the world. 

The exhibition "A Path to Glory – Jin Yong’s Centennial Memorial, Sculpted by Ren Zhe" will display 22 sculptures and multimedia installations inspired by Jin Yong’s renowned series The Giant Eagle and its Companion.

Officially welcoming visitors on Saturday, the event will run through Oct 7.
