BEIJING - Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Thursday sent a congratulatory message to Murat Nurtleu on assuming office as deputy prime minister and foreign minister of Kazakhstan.

Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said that in recent years, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, China-Kazakhstan relations have maintained rapid and steady development, cooperation in various fields have been upgraded, and lasting friendship has taken root in the hearts of the people.

Wang said that he is willing to maintain good working relations with Nurtleu, fully implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, join hands to build a China-Kazakhstan community with a shared future, and push China-Kazakhstan permanent comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level.
