JAKARTA - An explosion at a smelting furnace in an industrial park in Morowali regency of Indonesia's Central Sulawesi province occurred on Sunday morning, killing 13 people and injuring dozens of others.
Rusmadi, head of the operation team of the Search and Rescue Office of Central Sulawesi Province, told Xinhua over the phone, "The death toll has reached 13, and dozens of other injured are being treated in hospitals."

Rusmadi said the furnace that exploded was in a factory belonging to the PT Indonesia Tsingshan Stainless Steel (PT ITSS) in the industrial park.
