Whoosh, Southeast Asia’s first high-speed train, started its commercial operation in Jakarta, Indonesia on Tuesday.
Eager passengers took photos of their first ride on the high-speed railway, which can speed up to 350 km per hour, connecting the Indonesian capital to Bandung.
The high-speed line is a flagship project that synergizes the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative and Indonesia's Global Maritime Fulcrum strategy, and also a signature project of pragmatic cooperation between China and Indonesia.
