HK battens down for Saola

HONG KONG - Empty streets, taped shop windows and sandbags have become a major part of Hong Kong's street scenes within a day as Super Typhoon Saola draws closer to the city.

Travelers arrived at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station but most of the high-speed rail train services to the mainland had been suspended.

As advised by the Mainland Railway Authority, all train trips between Hong Kong West Kowloon Station and the mainland cities will be cancelled from noon on Friday to Saturday. Train services from Sunday to Saturday will also be adjusted depending on weather conditions.
