Bringing back the glory

As a part of the Cheung Chau Cinema heritage revitalization project, the first phase of the Cheung Chau Cinema Multicultural Park will open to the public on Monday, 26 years after the closure of the cinema.

Spanning over 3,500 square meters, the diverse cultural complex consists of four main thematic spaces: "Cheung Chau Cultural Hall," "Dumbbell Information Center," "1931 Studio," and "The Silver Screen Gathering".

Built in 1931, the original site of the Cheung Chau Cinema is listed as a Grade III historic building.
