China's maritime governance development report, the country's first report comprehensively introducing and interpreting the development of China's ocean governance progress, was issued in Beijing on Sunday.

The report, published by Dalian Maritime University, an institution under the Ministry of Transport, introduces China's ocean governance development, including major legislation in the field, important events, major accomplishments and the insufficient experiences.

The report has also provides scientific judgments on maritime diplomacy and international ocean governance. It also proposes feasible suggestions on China's maritime governance

The report focuses on major practical issues in the field, providing reference for policy making.

It also studies international issues, such as discharging nuclear wastewater into the sea, providing the international community with a Chinese perspective on global ocean governance.

The report, which will be issued annually starting this year, is the first such report on the development of China's ocean governance issued by a China university.
