Textbooks are also popular, such as the reference books for Chinese language and mathematics exams in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination.

Tourism books also won readers' attention, with many visitors looking to plan their next adventure. This year's book fair, which runs from July 19 to July 25, is the first since the full resumption of normal travel between Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland, and visitors from across the region have flocked to the event.
