NANNING — Eleven people were killed in a road accident in Jingxi City, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region early on Friday, according to local authorities.
The accident took place at about 6:30 a.m. when a vehicle carrying 14 people rolled over the edge of a cliff on a road section in Siming Village. Confirming the number of fatalities, a statement from the Jingxi municipal government said that three individuals managed to escape the incident.

Rescue efforts are currently underway and an investigation into the cause of the accident has been initiated.
