Shandong holds leaders Wuhan in Chinese Super League

JINAN – Defending champions Shandong Taishan ended Wuhan Three Towns' 12-game winning streak with a 1-1 tie, while failing to narrow the gap in the Chinese Super League table on Wednesday.

Wuhan maintained their four-point lead over Shandong atop the standings.

Wuhan broke the deadlock in the 28th minute, when Davidson had a clever pass for Gao Zhunyi's lob into the net.

In the 68th minute, Liu Yang's header on a Moises corner went straight into the gate and Wuhan players failed to make a clearance.

Elsewhere, Beijing Guoan handed Hebei FC their 10th consecutive loss 3-1 and Hebei remained rock bottom in the standings. Tianjin Jinmen Tigers edged Henan Songshan Longmen 1-0, and Meizhou Hakka drew with Zhejiang FC 0-0.
