Hong Kong stocks close 2.55% lower

HONG KONG - Hong Kong stocks closed down 746.76 points, or 2.55 percent, to 28,550.77 points on Thursday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 28,467.01 and 29,191.68. Turnover totaled HK$269.88 billion (about US$34.82 billion).
