Dzemaili joins Chinese club Shenzhen Kaisa

SHENZHEN, China - Swiss midfielder Blerim Dzemaili has joined Shenzhen Kaisa, the Chinese second division league club confirmed on Monday.

The 34-year-old had played for Bologna in Serie A since 2016 and netted 13 goals in 92 matches. He also scored 11 in 69 appearances for Switzerland

Shenzhen also announced the joining of another four domestic players, including veteran striker Gao Lin from Guangzhou Evergrande.

Shenzhen finished 15th in the Chinese Super League in the 2019 season and relegated to the second division.

The Chinese football leagues were supposed to kick off last weekend, but the start of the new season was postponed due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
