KATHMANDU – The death toll from the devastating mudslide in Nepal has risen to 616, the Nepal Police said in a statement on Saturday.
A fast-moving chain mudslide, triggered by a high-altitude glacier collapse on the Nepalese side, on Wednesday caused heavy casualties and left many missing at a port on the China-Nepal border in southwest China's Xizang autonomous region.
