Hong Kong's foreign currency reserves at $447.8b as of July

HONG KONG – The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) announced on Friday that the city's official foreign currency reserve assets amounted to $447.8 billion as of the end of July, up slightly from $445.9 billion at the end of June.

The total foreign currency reserve assets represent over five times the currency in circulation or about 38 percent of Hong Kong dollar M3, the HKMA said.
