
President Xi Jinping said on Monday that China and Belarus should maintain strategic communication and promote the continuous advancement of bilateral relations at a high level to better benefit the two peoples.
Xi made the remarks during a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing.
Xi described China and Belarus as true friends who trust and support each other, good partners in shared development and prosperity, and all-weather comprehensive strategic partners, saying that the relationship between the two countries has withstood the test of changes in the international landscape and has achieved leapfrog development in recent years, entering its best period in history.
He noted that political mutual trust between the two countries is rock solid, high-quality Belt and Road cooperation has yielded fruitful results, key cooperation projects have made tangible progress, and their multilateral collaboration is productive.
The facts have proven that deepening the all-weather and all-around cooperation between China and Belarus aligns with the trend of the times and serves the fundamental interests of the two peoples, he said.
Xi emphasized that China supports Belarus in safeguarding its national sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, and in pursuing a development path suited to its own national conditions. The nation is willing to continue offering assistance within its capacity for the development of Belarus, he added.

He called on both countries to mobilize resources in all sectors to advance Belt and Road cooperation and enrich the content of their pragmatic cooperation.
China is willing to work with Belarus to jointly build a community with a shared future for humanity, implement the four major global initiatives, and strengthen coordination and cooperation within multilateral mechanisms, such as the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, to serve as a stabilizing force in a turbulent world, Xi said.
Lukashenko, who was making his 17th visit to China since he became the president of Belarus, said that he totally agrees with Xi on the latter's remarks about bilateral ties. China is an all-weather comprehensive strategic partner for Belarus, and the comprehensive and deep cooperation between the two countries provides significant support for the economic and social development of Belarus, he said.
Lukashenko said that Belarus attaches great importance to its relationship with China, and looks forward to strengthening strategic communication, expanding areas of cooperation and achieving greater development in bilateral relations.
He hailed the four major global initiatives proposed by Xi, saying that these help to promote the political resolution of hot spot issues and make significant contributions to world peace, stability and prosperity.
Belarus is willing to continue maintaining close coordination with China on international and regional affairs, and jointly promote regional and global peace, development and stability, Lukashenko said.
The China-Belarus Industrial Park, located 25 kilometers from Minsk, the Belarusian capital, has become a landmark project for mutually beneficial cooperation.
China has become the second-largest trading partner of Belarus and its largest trading partner in Asia.
Data from the General Administration of Customs shows that the trade value between China and Belarus in 2025 was $8.86 billion, up 5.5 percent year-on-year.
